BALD

This project is a heartfelt dedication to women of all backgrounds, ethnicities, and struggles. It is an exploration born out of a recurring thought, the decision to shave my head. Initially, it wasn't intended to become a photographic endeavour, but without further delay, I feel compelled to embark on this journey. My aim is to not only help myself but also to offer understanding and support to you, my fellow women, as we navigate our emotional and social landscapes.

Often, I find myself critiquing my appearance, particularly my hair, with self-deprecating thoughts such as, "My hair looks terrible today. I look awful. I don't want to face the world like this." Despite these insecurities, I muster the strength to face the day. Through this project, I hope to find clarity, cultivate self-love, and foster compassion for other women. Moreover, I seek to forge deeper connections among us.

I firmly believe that discussing the emotional well-being of ourselves and how we treat ourselves can have a profound impact on society. It is crucial to engage in conversations about societal expectations and their influence on our lives. Together, we can shed light on these topics, challenge social opinions, and pave the way for meaningful discussions that lead to positive change.

In addition, I will be sharing one photo each day as part of this project, accompanied by online discussions with women. This interactive platform will allow us to engage in meaningful conversations and deepen our understanding of the emotional and social experiences we face. Together, we can foster greater clarity, love, compassion, and connection among us.

I am sending an abundance of love and warm hugs your way ♡
